One of the problems facing the higher education system is the lack of academic motivation of students, which affects academic performance as far as it has become a concern of many researchers and policy makers of the educational system. Therefore, the aim of the present study is the study of the causes of the lack of motivation in academic student-teachers. In the present study, the grounded theory approach has been used, which is a qualitative research method, in which in-depth interviews were conducted with 25 student-teachers of Allameh Amini Campus in Tabriz, who were selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed based on open, axial and selective coding. The results showed that according to students Opinion, six main categories are the underlying and causal factors of student-teacher academic motivation, which are: The teaching methods, the undisputed emergence of study, Poor quality of university services, Supremacy of material values, Ensuring career prospects and incomplete inter-institutional interactions. Based on students, poor academic strength and poor student development are the consequences of lack of motivation in universities. They also know the performance test and the growth of the university environment as the solution to this problem. In this study, the central issue is the formation of mobile habitus in the university.
