Abstract Background and Objectives: One of the concepts used today in the curriculum and especially in professional and skill training is the concept of competence. To answer this, the interdisciplinary curriculum is a decision-making process with innovative or creative, non-linear, and reflective features. Therefore, the current research was carried out to improve the teaching-learning activities in elementary school science courses to realize students' competence with an interdisciplinary curriculum approach. Methods: The qualitative research method is a type of research focused on thinking. The statistical sample of the research collection of articles has been purposefully extracted from reliable domestic and foreign databases, which the researchers have selected to match the research title. Findings: The teaching-learning activities of the science lesson can be improved with the interdisciplinary curriculum approach to the students' competence and make the students achieve the core competencies in the experimental science lesson. For students to achieve the necessary competence, teachers should design teaching-learning activities with an interdisciplinary approach. Because with this approach, students are involved in the learning process, and this will make the academic, cognitive, skill, and attitudinal goals in the elementary science curriculum better. Conclusion: As a result, it can be acknowledged that it is necessary to use the interdisciplinary curriculum approach in order to improve the teaching and learning activities of experimental sciences based on the realization of students' competencies.
