Therefore, the present study was carried out with the aim of investigating the challenges and solutions of teaching experimental science courses for intellectually disabled students. With a review study and examination of the theoretical foundations and experimental backgrounds of the research, the challenges and educational solutions of teaching experimental sciences to this group of students were investigated. Based on the review of sources, lack of attention to teaching experimental sciences in different academic courses compared to mathematics and Persian courses, lack of motivation and lack of knowledge of teachers, the perception of lack of equipment and expensive materials in teaching science and the way of evaluation among the challenges and problems of teaching science It was experimental. Therefore, considering the cognitive disability of students with special needs, objective and concrete educational methods, exploration-based teaching methods, science education in combined situations, individual education and, depending on the conditions, the use of group and team education are recommended.
