The problem solving method can increase the level of thinking, skill, and as a result, lead to a deeper understanding, and this method can benefit and apply more knowledge and motivate learners. The presence of some limitations such as laboratory space, necessary equipment and facilities, the number of students in a class, etc. can lead to a decrease in students' willingness to face the scientific and practical challenges of the experimental science course. The purpose of this research is to investigate the success of meaningful learning through the use of problem solving methods in the teaching of the ionic bond chemistry subject of the 9th grade science book. This research has been done analytically and descriptively. And its statistical population is 40 female students of the ninth grade of science. The data collection tool is the "Teacher Made" academic progress test, which was used to evaluate the students of both groups in the pre-test and post-test. The results of this study emphasize the advantage of problem-solving-based learning as a teaching method over teacher-centered methods in the chemistry-related chapter of the science course, despite problems such as access to the laboratory, relatively high classroom population, etc. Although it is not impossible to apply this method throughout the academic year and all the semesters, it will still be faced with problems such as the lack of materials and space, implementation time, etc.
