The goal of education in all educational systems is to achieve scientific literacy, and understanding the nature of science is one of its essential aspects. The nature of science aims to provide a description of what science is, the mechanism of science, how scientists work as a social group, and how society affects the direction of scientific activity and vice versa. This research aimed to examine the components of the nature of science in presenting the content of the latest mapping of the 11th grade physics textbook in the mathematics-physics field. Content analysis method was used in this research. The sample included the entire content of the 11th grade physics book and the sampling unit included paragraphs. The rubric scoring system was used to check how the content was presented. Data were validated using alignment. The findings showed that the most emphasis of the physics textbook is on the aspects of creativity, the relationship between science and technology, and evidence; and the aspect of creativity, limitations in science, theory, and law are implicitly mentioned. Also, the two components of social and cultural influence and the unique scientific method in science are not well introduced and explained in the physics book of the 11th grad of mathematics-physics. It can be concluded that most of the concepts and theories presented in the book do not clearly explain the components of the nature of science and most of these concepts implicitly present a flawed view of science.
