The present research was conducted with the aim of investigating the amount of attention to the environmental components in the experimental science textbooks of the second period of elementary education. The method of this research is descriptive quantitative content analysis. The statistical population of the research is the experimental science textbooks of the second period of elementary education (4th, 5th and 6th grades), and all the contents of the statistical population have been examined. In this research, textbooks have been examined in four dimensions: texts, images, activities and goals. The results of this research show that in the experimental science textbooks of all three grades, a total of 47 goals out of the total learning goals are assigned to the topic of the environment, and from the total content related to the environment, including the learning goals, 48.62% is presented in the form of text, 33.02% in the form of images and 12.95% in the form of activities. In total, in the experimental science textbooks of the three grades, the component of natural resources is considered more than other components with 54.24%, and after that other components are considered as follows: the relationship between human and the environment 19.38%, ecosystem 9.97%, natural hazards 5.16%, energy resources in the environment 4.93%, environmental management 4.81%, and environmental pollution 1.49%. Among the experimental science textbooks of the second period of elementary education, the fourth grade has the most and the fifth grade has the least attention to environmental components.
